Record Breaking Voter Registration in Nevada

Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske says the total number of active registered voters in Nevada hit 1,519,038 in September 2018, which represents the highest number of active registered voters in state history. The previous record was set in February 2017, when there were a total of 1,507,882 active registered voters. For the month of September 2018, the number of active registered voters grew by 25,041, an increase of 1.68 percent when compared to August 2018. Of the more than 1.5 million active registered voters in Nevada: More than 38% are democrats, and just under 34% are republicans. Nonpartisans are now nearly 22% of voters.
