The Western State’s Police Canine Association Conference is wrapping up today in Reno. It’s an event that includes intense training for dogs and their handlers, by a nonprofit group that supports law enforcement and military K-9’s, and encourages the public to support their local departments. Ron Cloward of the Association says K-9 cops are much more than pets, they are real partners.

There are about 100 dog teams getting training in Reno this week.
