Sparks City Council has approved a new housing project, a 69-unit townhome subdivision on a nearly 8 acre site.  The Canyons on Los Altos will be within the Vistas Planned Development at 2255 Los Altos Parkway. The Council a is requiring four pedestrian flashers to be added to the roundabout at Los Altos and Vista Heights. Also at Monday’s meeting, the council unanimously approved a motion to increase sewer and storm drain user rates. A sewer connection fee increase of 30% goes into effect January 1st.
