The City of Reno is advising those who have not responded to multiple official notices of unpaid parking citations, will have a hold placed on their vehicle registration by the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles. Citizens with parking citations connected to their registered license plate numbers were given multiple opportunities to respond to outstanding citations. Starting in September, 3,500 letters were sent out to those who have outstanding parking tickets. Final notices were sent out again in late October. The DMV will not accept payment for the fees or fines, and payment for the citations must be made to the City of Reno.
