Following his swearing-in Governor Steve Sisolak signed his first executive order, establishing the Governor’s Task Force on Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Law and Policy. The task force’s duties include a review of federal and State sexual harassment laws, regulations, and policies as well as prevention plans and training currently in place. The task force will deliver actionable recommendations to the governor for improving current prevention plans and training procedures within executive branch agencies. The executive order was signed in coordination with Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford who will chair the task force. Governor Sisolak says “No one should ever feel unsafe or uncomfortable at work.”
