A 22 year old Reno man, who blames his behavior on methamphetamine use, is facing prison for beating and torturing a chihuahua. Mathew Titzel pleaded guilty in October. The animal torture was posted online in a video, secretly recorded by Titzel’s boyfriend, who suspected him in the beating death of another six year old chihuahua. The abuse was horrific and included a form of water boarding, but the dog survived. Titzel faces one to four years at sentencing. The now ex-boyfriend says in an online posting Titzel’s lying about blaming meth and is a “Sociopath.”
