I-80 speed limits have been increased recently in some sections of the state, and the Nevada Highway Patrol wants the public to know that they’ll have extra patrols out looking for anyone going faster than the posted limit. Portions east of Sparks are now 80 miles per hour, and NHP will be using radar to ensure drivers are maintaining the proper speed. NHP recommends using your headlights during daylight hours to improve visibility and safety, and reduce the chances of being in a traffic crash.
