Scandal Grows at Southern Nevada Utility, CEO Arrested

The scandal continues to grow around Nye County’s Valley Electric. The company is already accused of raising rates to cover funds the utility allegedly expended to cover up a sexual harrassment complaints. Now the CEO is accused of embezzlement by billing the business for $75,000 of work on her home in Pahrump. The Nye County Sheriff’s Office arrested Valley Angela Evans Tuesday, she has been placed on administrative leave.
