Strong Jobs Report From Nevada DETR

Nevada added 3,800 jobs in January and 53,300 jobs over the past year, according to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation’s latest economic report. The 53,300 jobs over last year was the largest annual increase in more than a dozen years. The state’s unemployment rate in January 2019 was unchanged over the month, at 4.4 percent. Compared to a year ago January, the state’s unemployment rate is down 0.4 percentage point. Gov. Steve Sisolak says the report highlights a variety of encouraging trends showing our strong economic growth across the state.
