Vegas Area Family Being Held Accountable After Toddler Shoots Himself

Five adult North Las Vegas-area family members are accused of felony child neglect, after a 3-year-old boy shot himself in the head with a gun he found in his mother’s purse last November. North Las Vegas police Officer Eric Leavitt says the boy survived his injury and was in the house when officers arrested his 29-year-old mother, Liza Haut, grandparents Marvin and Rackell Haut, and uncles Richard and Joshua Haut. Police found 17 rifles, shotguns and handguns in the home after the shooting.
