“Lei Day” is Saturday at Nevada State Museum

For the second consecutive year, the Nevada State Museum will celebrate Hawaiian culture with “Lei Day.” The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. It is open to the public and admission is free. Emulating “May Day is Lei Day,” in Hawaii, the museum’s event will include traditional Hawaiian music, hula performers, food, lei-making demonstrations and hands-on activities for kids.
