Crews Knock Down a Brush Fire in Lemmon Valley

Truckee Meadows Fire put out a one acre brush fire in Lemmon Valley, with help from Reno Fire and the Bureau of Land Management. It started in grass and brush and extended to an outbuilding and a house, which were slightly damaged and saved, according to fire crews. Some fences were also blackened. The fire was reported about 1:45 p.m. on Fir Street between Idaho and Arizona, north of Lemmon Drive and Chickadee. A neighbor was treated for minor burns.
