A woman was taken to a hospital last night after being stabbed in a domestic dispute in northwest Reno. Police were called to the Gateway Inn at 1275 Stardust Street about 8:37 pm. They found the woman had been bitten, strangled, stabbed, and sexually assaulted by her live in boyfriend. She was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. While officers were working the crime scene, the suspect, 27 year old John McInnes, returned and was taken into custody. He is being charged with attempted murder, domestic battery by strangulation, sexual assault, and preventing a 911 call.
