UNR officials are now in the process of filing an emergency declaration to obtain additional federal funding after multiple explosions damaged Argenta and Nye halls at the campus Friday afternoon. The explosions injured 8 people, no one died in the blasts. A bomb squad reported to the scene as part of the investigation, but police say “no suspects are being sought,” and the incident is considered an accident.

Upward Bound summer academy classes are canceled for Monday and students, faculty and staff are being urged to monitor unr.edu for updates.
