One person was taken to a hospital following a crash involving a Reno Police Officer.  It happened around 4:10PM Monday, at the intersection of E. 5th Avenue and Sun Valley Boulevard. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office says the officer was going through the intersection on a green light, when a driver headed in the opposite direction turned in front of him, hitting the officer’s patrol car. The officer’s car then hit a third vehicle.  The officer was not injured.
