Local, state and federal law enforcement eradicated more than 11,000 marijuana plants Wednesday in Plumas County east of Lake Davis, arresting one man. 52-year-old Mario Valencia of Mexico was booked into the Plumas County jail on charges of cultivation of marijuana, possession for sales of marijuana and substantial stream diversion. Law enforcement went into the garden area on Crocker Mountain and encountered Valencia and another man, who ran from law enforcement. In addition to 11,000 plants, they also found a large amount of trash and fertilizer. The investigation continues. The operation was conducted by the Plumas County special weapons and tactics team, U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement, California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Campaign Against Marijuana Planting.
