A pedestrian was taken to to the hospital Saturday night with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a suspected drunken driver. 38-year-old Alexis Anastassatos was booked into the Washoe County jail on charges of felony DUI causing substantial injury and failure to use due care. He remained in jail Sunday morning. Police said the 50-year-old woman was crossing the street mid-block near West Fourth Street and Stoker Avenue when she was hit. The crash closed West Fourth Street until about 1:30 a.m. Detectives are still looking for witnesses to the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 334-2141.
