In the wake of at least 5 deaths in the Bahamas, about two dozen local Red Cross volunteers are on standby to help-out wherever Hurricane Dorian hits next. In the next 72 hours the locals are preparing to be called to Florida, Georgia or the Carolinas. While the path of the category-4 hurricane is still somewhat unknown, the Red Cross says they’ll be ready. Volunteers from Reno and the surrounding areas will commit two weeks of their time to help out wherever they’re needed.
