Lightning Sparks Multiple Fires Around Northern Nevada

Crews are currently on scene of a fire burning in the area of Jacks Valley Elementary School. The Jacks Valley Fire has burned more than five acres, and crews say it is more than 60-percent contained, with full containment expected today. Due to winds an advisory is being issued for the area of Clear Creek Road, Silverado, and Shawnee area. Multiple lightning caused fires have were sparked last night throughout northern Nevada. Douglas County Sheriff and East Fork Fire both responded to a fire in the China Springs area. The China Fire was contained at just under 2 acres according to Sierra Front. Reno Fire responded to one lightning caused brush fire in the Sommersett area. That fire was also quickly contained. Carson Fire knocked down a small brush fire in the Clear Creek area.
