Southwest Gas is asking customers in the Fallon area to conserve natural gas to ensure that service to customers is not interrupted while repairs are being made.  There was a fire near Fallon after a fatal crash that involved three vehicles. One of the vehicles hit a gas main, which ignited. One person died. The crash happened on Highway 50 and the Sheckler Cutoff Tuesday morning. The cause of the crash is under investigation. Southwest is urging customers to keep their thermostats low, health permitting and not to use gas appliances, like stoves for example, for heat ever.
