The State of Education address will be delivered by Washoe County School District  Interim Superintendent Dr. Kristen McNeill, Wednesday night February 19th.
Dr. McNeill will discuss how the District is working to prepare its 64,000 students for the workplaces of the future, the District’s progress in achieving its academic goals, and the challenges it faces going forward. From 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) students will display and discuss their STEAM projects. Student musicians will perform, and refreshments will be provided by McQueen High School students who are enrolled in District culinary arts programs. Dr. McNeill will deliver the 2020 State of Education address at 6pm at Nick Poulakidas Elementary School, 9600 Mojave Sky Dr.Reno.
