Crews have stopped forward progression of three brush fires near Wadsworth that have burned at least 102 acres, according to the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District. The multiple brush fires east of Reno shut down the westbound lanes of I-80 and Wadsworth residents were requested to shelter in place. As of 8:00 p.m. last night, I-80 had reopened in both directions. The fires were first reported around 2:45 p.m. and are reported to have destroyed at least three structures and a number of power poles. Officials are investigating the cause.
