Police Conduct Weekend Street Racing Crackdown

A crackdown on street racing the last two weekends netted 41 speed-related citations, one misdemeanor arrest for exhibition of speed and seven arrests for driving under the influence. The crackdown was a result of citizen complaints about street races in Reno during late evening weekend hours. Nevada Office of Traffic Safety partially funded the crackdown.MORE

Skeletal Remains Found South of Lockwood

The Storey County Sheriff’s Office says a hiker found human skeletal remains in a remote area of the county. The discovery was made at the head of Lagomarsino Canyon, south of Lockwood.
