The 1,165-acre Jasper Fire in Sun Valley was contained on Tuesday. Sierra Front says one home and two outbuildings were destroyed. A construction dump truck with a lifted bed pulled down a powerline, causing a widespread power outage in Sparks Tuesday. Sparks Police say the lines went down near El Rancho & Elementary Drives.
