Fire crews have contained a brush fire on the property of the former Northgate Golf Course. Flames were reported shortly after noon Tuesday east of Somersett, off Beaumont Parkway. An American Airlines plane made an emergency landing at Reno-Tahoe International Airport just after 2:30 this morning. According to spokesperson Brian Kulpin, the flight took off from the airport around 2:15 a.m. but turned around after reporting landing gear issues. 169 people were on board and no injuries were reported.
