Flash Flooding Reported in Lyon County

Flash flooding was reported yesterday in Mason Valley just east of Yerington, in Lyon County. There are no reported injuries but several yards have water, mud and debris and at least one home is reported to have been flooded. Road crews worked overnight to make roads passable. Fire Rips Through Zephyr Cove Home

Three people and a dog were displaced by a fire at a home last night in Zephyr Cove. The Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District reports a kitchen grease fire spread rapidly through the kitchen. Flames burned one person on the hands and feet, but everyone escaped the fire before any serious injuries.MORE

Sun Valley Man Arrested After Three Hour Standoff

Reno Police Investigating Another Burglary in Midtown

Reno Police are investigating another burglary at a midtown business. Midtown Diamonds was broken into early Wednesday morning. The burglar alarms was tripped just after 4am at the center Street business.
