Tahoe Fire Danger High, Burn Permits Suspended Tuesday

Amidst red flag conditions and very high fire danger, North Tahoe Fire Protection District and Meeks Bay Fire Protection District issued a Declaration to suspend all burn permits for outdoor residential burning, and recreational campfires. Teenager Arrested in Fatal DUI Crash

One person died early Sunday following a crash in Reno at Scottsdale Road and Bullwinkle Drive. 19-year-old Kenneth Lee Homer III was booked on suspicion of drunk driving causing death, speeding, and driving without a license.
