Two Fires Wednesday in Northern Nevada

The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District knocked down a garage fire that broke out at a home in Sun Valley last night. Crews say the fire broke out around 9:00 p.m. at a home on Britton Lane. Reno Man Admits Supporting Terrorism

A Reno man has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to provide material support and resources to terrorists, knowing that such support would be used to commit terrorist attacks overseas. Washoe Commission Rejects Pot Facility in Spanish Springs

The reconsideration of the proposed location of a marijuana dispensary from Incline Village, to a strip mall in Spanish Springs, again drew strong opposition from neighbors. Nevada Apologizes After Beating UNLV

The University of Nevada is apologizing for the football team, after beating UNLV Saturday and reclaiming the “Fremont Cannon.” Apparently some players dragged the cannon out onto the field, and painted “F-UNLV” on the trophy. Pack Basketball Player Arrested

A Wolf Pack basketball player is facing domestic battery and contempt of court charges. Junior Elijah Foster has been suspended indefinitely from any basketball related activities. The school released a statement saying they take these allegations seriously, and are still gathering more information. Foster is averaging 12 points and 7.4 rebounds per game this season.MORE

The ice skating rink in Carson City is officially open for business. A house fire in Gardnerville was apparently caused by a puppy.
