Boot Campaign Big Success

The Reno Fire Department raised $60,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association over the weekend, during the annual “Fill the Boot” fundraising campaign.  That’s more than double the $28,000  raised last year. Abuser Convicted Without Victim Testimony

A Reno man has been convicted of domestic battery involving strangulation. A firefighter on the Strawberry Fire in the Great Basin National Park in eastern Nevada died Saturday when he was hit by a falling tree.
