Foundry Denies Illegal Dumping

It took them a while, but Production Pattern and Foundry denies they instructed any employees to dump production waste, which is illegal. In a statement, the Mound House company blames an ex-employee for the video, which they suggest was staged to promote the disgruntled employee’s agenda. Crews Knock Down Fire Near Boomtown

Fire crews knocked down a small brush fire outside Boomtown off I-80 in Verdi, Monday. Flames were reported about 12:30PM, no structures were threatened. Looks like that fire was caused by crews working on a sign. Sparks from a saw hit the brush and started the fire.MORE

Justice Saitta Announces Retirement

Nevada Supreme Court Justice Nancy Saitta is announcing plans to retire next month. The Justice has served on the state’s highest court for ten years. Rollover Accident Closes SB 395

A rollover accident had all southbound lanes of 395 closed at Oddie Blvd last night. Just before 7:30, a GMC Dually Pickup truck lost control of its trailer filled with dirt and concrete, spilling it’s contents all over the road. No injuries were reported.MORE

Mason Fire Held to Nine Acres

Crews are mopping up a brush fire that started in northeast Washoe Valley last night. The Mason fire was held to just nine acres. Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District responded to to the fire just before 9:00 PM.
