Pedestrian Killed on U.S. 95 Alternate

A pedestrian died Thursday after being hit on U.S. 95 Alternate in Silver Springs. Nevada State Police say the Silver Springs man was walking on 95 at Indigo Avenue about 7 p.m. when a vehicle hit him. He was not in a crosswalk. The driver was not speeding and there are no signs of impairment.MORE

The Sparks Fire Department responded to a fire in the 1400 block of C Street just before 9 o’clock last Tuesday night. The fire was on the 3rd floor of the apartment building. Douglas County Deputies Rushed to The Hospital After Fentanyl Exposure

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says multiple deputies were exposed to fentanyl during a narcotics arrest in Stateline last night. Five deputies were transported to the hospital. A portion of U.S. 395 is closed through Garnerville following a water main break. It was first reported around 3:15 p.m. Thursday, and closed by 4 o’clock. Two Reno Men Arrested on Murder Charges

The Reno Police Department arrested two men on murder charges. They’re accused of killing a man near downtown Reno on October 9th.
