Portion of 395 Closed After Water Main Break

A portion of U.S. 395 is closed through Garnerville following a water main break. It was first reported around 3:15 p.m. Thursday, and closed by 4 o’clock. In a social media post, Douglas County said U.S. 395 was shut down between Buckeye Road and Gilman Avenue. The closure could last 1 to 2 days.MORE

Two Reno Men Arrested on Murder Charges

The Reno Police Department arrested two men on murder charges. They’re accused of killing a man near downtown Reno on October 9th. Sparks Fire crews were called to a structure fire in the 400 block of 9th street last night just before midnight. Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Looking For Missing Man

They Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is asking people for help finding a missing man. 53-year-old Ronald Littley, was last seen on September 19th at his home in Fernley. He left on foot and has not been seen since. He is 6-1 and weighs about 185 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.MORE

Reno Police Investigating Murder-Suicide

Reno Police are investigating a murder-suicide. The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the two people found dead in a house on Corrigan Way on October 15. They say 54-year-old Evelyn Iverson, and 81-year-old Eugene Iverson, were both declared dead at the scene due to gunshot wounds. Evelyn’s manner of death was homicide.…MORE

Reno Drug Trafficker Sentenced to 25 Years

A Reno man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for drug trafficking and felony eluding. 31-year-old Lonnie Wayne Rogers of Reno plead guilty in August to one count of trafficking methamphetamine and heroin, when he was found with 225 grams of methamphetamine and 119 grams of heroin. Police are investigating after they say a person with a gun was shot outside of the Sparks Police Department building. Reno Man Sentenced After Harassing Nevada Lawmakers With Death Threats

Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Ford has announced the sentencing of Matthew Carter, a Reno man who sent death threats to multiple Nevada elected officials.
