A fire that started in the attic destroyed a home in Sparks last night. The Sparks Fire Department responded to the structure fire on S 19th Street just before 10. Fatal Trailer Fire Under Investigation

The cause of a fire that killed a man Saturday night in Panther Valley remains under investigation. The fire in a mobile home on Sagehen Lane was reported just before 11pm. Crews pulled a man out of the fire but, he could not be revived. The fire did not spread beyond the trailer.MORE

Body of Missing Hiker Found

The body of a missing hiker on the the Tahoe Rim Trail was recovered yesterday. His family confirmed the news to KOLO 8 News Now. 32-year-old Jia Huang, went on a backpacking trip on June 22nd. Gardnerville Man Sentenced After Disrupting Flight to Las Vegas

A man who disrupted a flight to Las Vegas, has been sentenced to six months of home confinement and one year of probation. 41 year old Daniel Parkhurst of Gardnerville pleaded guilty in February to one count of interference with a flight crew, and one count of assault.
