Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Northeast Reno

A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in northeast Reno. Police said at about 8:51 p.m. Friday a 54-year-old man was walking east across Sutro Street just north of Timber Way when he was struck by a vehicle going north on Sutro Street. The Truckee Police Department arrested a Truckee man for suspicion of murder. No One Injured in Barn Fire in Reno

Firefighters extinguished a barn fire last night near Derbish Way and Piedmont Place. They said they believe the cause was dry woodchips and hay igniting from the heat.  No one was displaced, except for the donkeys living in the barn. They were uninjured.MORE

Two More Suspects Arrested in Armed Robbery

Catholic School in Reno Closes Due to Numerous Covid Cases

NHP Looking For Driver Who Fired Shots on I-580 in Reno

The Nevada Highway Patrol is trying to track down the driver who fired a shot at a van on Interstate 580. It happened Sept. 8th near Mill Street. Authorities say the driver of a white Chevy Tahoe with Raiders license plates, tinted windows and large black wheels shot at a white Ford Transit van.MORE
