Governor Will Have More Details About Reopening Nevada Today

Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak will hold a press conference to announce plans and a date for Phase 1 reopening in Nevada, which is now slated to occur before the May 15 date previously set forth last week.  The press conference will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, May 7 at the Nevada State Legislature in Carson City, and will be streamed online on the leg.state.nv.us website. MORE

More Than 1,020 Coronavirus Cases in Washoe County

Nevada Health Response reports today there are 5,663 positive cases of coronavirus. 276 people have died from the virus statewide. There are 37 Covid 19 deaths in Washoe County. Suspect Dead in Officer Involved Shooting

The Reno Police Department is leading the investigation on an officer-involved shooting in Sparks.  Monday, May 4,  around 8:10 p.m. there were reports of a suspicious person near the Instant Smog on Victorian Avenue. New Cases Sunday, No Additional Covid 19 Deaths

Washoe County  Sunday reported 28 additional COVID-19 cases, giving the county 977 cases total. There were no new additional deaths. The 19 additional recoveries give Washoe County 382 recoveries overall. Fifty-one people are currently hospitalized.  Nevada Health Response reported 5,311 positive COVID-19 cases in the state on Saturday with 257 deaths from the virus.MORE
