Zoning Advisory Committee Hears From Residents

The Washoe County School District Zoning Advisory Committee approved three zoning changes Tuesday. These are only recommendations.  They would impact Galena High, Reno High, Damonte Ranch High, and Wooster High Schools.  These recommendations will go before the Washoe County School Board in January or February.  MORE

Man Accused of Killing Reno Tourist Pleads Not Guilty

The man accused in the murder of a 37-year-old woman from Ohio at the Circus Circus pleaded not guilty in Washoe District Court Tuesday. Investigators say 22-year-old Tevin Johnson murdered Amber Morris in her hotel room on the morning of Friday, July 19th. Morris was in Reno with her husband and sister. Body Found in Hills Above Carson City

A hiker reported finding a body in the hills north of the Carson Tahoe hospital and Sheriffs Office investigators recovered it Tuesday afternoon. NDOT Activating New Flashing Yield Signs on I-580 in Carson City

NDOT is planning to activate new flashing yield signs on some I-580 Carson City Freeway on-ramps.
