N-DOT and Nevada DPS Offer Winter Driving Tips Starting With “Slow Down”

N-Dot and the Department of Public Safety are offering winter driving tips, and say on average, as many as 2,000 crashes occur statewide every year due to unsafe driving in snow, ice and other wet conditions, such as driving too fast for conditions, following too closely, or failing to maintain a lane and overcorrecting. The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating after a deadly crash involving a pedestrian last night on USA Parkway, south of Electric Avenue in Storey County. It happened just before 5pm. Reno Police Arrest Hit & Run Driver

Reno Police cited the involved in an auto-pedestrian hit-and-run crash. Leticia Faith Woods of Reno was cited for driving without a license or insurance, and misdemeanor Hit and Run.
