Local Fire Crews Knocked Down a Series of Wildfires Tuesday

Firefighters had a busy day Tuesday… Reno Fire crews stopped a small brush fire near Rattlesnake Mountain and Alexander Lake Road. It burned nearly two acres just before 5am. Body of Missing Two Year Old Found in Fallon Irrigation Canal

A 2-year-old reported missing in Fallon was found dead in an irrigation canal. Churchill County sheriff’s office responded to the area of Rice Road around 8:30PM Monday night. BLM Resuming Pine Nut Horse Gather Next Week

The Bureau of Land Management Sierra Front Field Office is resuming the Pine Nut Mountain HMA wild horse gather near Carson City beginning July 29th. Road Work on U.S. 50 From USA Parkway to Silver Springs Will Change Traffic Pattern

Beginning Wednesday through November, both directions of traffic on U.S. 50 will be shifted to new westbound lanes from the USA Parkway junction to Silver Springs as part of a Nevada Department of Transportation project to widen the highway. Motorcyclist Being Treated For Life-Threatening Injuries

A motorcyclist is being treated for life-threatening injuries after police say he hit another vehicle.  It happened Tuesday around 1:15 at Wrondel Way and E. Grove Street. Lineman Dies In Plumas County Power Pole Fall

The Plumas County Sheriff’s Department reports that a lineman has died of his injuries after falling from a PG&E power pole. Two PAR Electric employees were installing power lines Monday, for PG&E near the Plumas County town of Twain when the accident happened.
