Crews Fight Brush Fire in Southwest Reno

Reno Fire crews contained a brush fire in the area of South McCarran and Caughlin Parkway in southwest Reno. Several homes were threatened. Sun Valley Woman Facing Charges in Credit Card Fraud Investigation

A Sun Valley woman is facing 15 charges in a credit card fraud investigation. Kayla Rose Sechrengost was booked into the Washoe County jail accused of identity theft, unlawful use of another person’s credit card, burglary, and embezzlement. Crews Knock Down Fire Near Verdi

Crews spent last night mopping up the Sunrise Fire in the Dog Valley area near Verdi. That fire is estimated to have burned 2 to 4 acres. The cause of the fire has not been determined. About 25 homes were threatened when the fire first started, none were damaged.MORE
