Five Businesses Fail Underage Alcohol Sting

Five businesses failed an alcohol sting Saturday in downtown Reno by serving alcohol to underage decoys, 14 passed. Fifteen businesses were Reno Beer Crawl participants, and four were not part of the crawl. The four volunteers were ages 18 to 20 and provided identification if asked. El Dorado Resorts Set to Announce Purchase of Caesar’s Entertainment Corp

Bloomberg News and Reuters both cited unnamed sources that say Eldorado Resorts has agreed to buy Caesars Entertainment Corp for $8.7 billion in cash and stock and will assume other debt, making the deal worth about $18 billion. Youth Coach Arrested on Child Porn Charges, Police Looking For Victims

The president of Truckee Pop Warner Football, who is also a ski and golf instructor, has been arrested on child pornography-related charges. The Truckee police Department is now asking for the public’s help finding more victims. 28-year-old Anthony Joseph Coronado-Smith posted $157,000 bond and was released from the Nevada County jail. Drunk Driving Crackdown Results in 21 Arrests

A regional drunk driving crackdown over the weekend led to 21 arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The saturation patrols in the Truckee Meadows Friday and Saturday nights also led to 64 warnings for traffic violations and seven traffic citations. There were 97 traffic stops total.
