Illegal Dumping Becoming an Issue in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest

Illegal dumping continues to be a serious problem in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The maximum fine that can be imposed for illegal dumping is $5,000 and/or six months in jail. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office says 36-year-old Samuel Rogers has been arrested for a stabbing early Monday morning in Incline Village. Reno Fire Crews Stop Brush Fire on Sutro Street

Reno Firefighters stopped a half-acre brush fire in north Reno. Flames were reported at an area in the 2400 block of Sutro Street, near Patton and Tripp, shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday. Verizon Problem Affecting Police Agencies, 911 Calls
