A man is under arrest in connection with a robbery at the 7-Eleven on Lemmon Drive in Lemmon Valley early this morning. Pilot Killed in Plane Crash Identified

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the pilot who was killed in a plane crash Tuesday morning south of Truckee. 60-year-old Kenneth Whittall-Scherfee of Carmichael, California was also the owner of the plane. The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a heat advisory through Thursday for much of northwest Nevada where temperatures are forecast to reach as high as 106 degrees.
