Nevada Highway Patrol Investigating Fatal Crash on Highway 50

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that happened Thursday afternoon at Highway 50 at Retail in Dayton.  The head-on crash involving two vehicles happened shortly after 1PM . One person was killed; another flown to the hospital in critical condition.  There is no word yet on the cause of the crash.MORE

Traffic Deaths Down on Nevada Highways

Traffic deaths are down on Nevada highways. The State Office of Traffic Safety reports 305 traffic related deaths in 2017, down from 329 in 2016. The agency also says it’s planning a sharper focus on pedestrian deaths, 100 pedestrians were killed in Nevada last year, that’s 25% higher than in 2016.MORE
