An NDOT worker who helps test employees suspected of substance abuse while at work, is accused of selling moonshine out of his government vehicle and Las Vegas office. The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of Kidde fire extinguishers with plastic handles. According to Kidde United Technologies, fire extinguishers with plastic handles and plastic push-buttons can become clogged or require excessive force to discharge and can fail to activate during a fire emergency. Victim Identified in Fatal Shooting Near Neil Road

Parkview Street was closed much of Thursday at Mazzone Avenue and Neil Road, while Reno Police were investigating a fatal shooting. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 33-year-old man in the Sun Valley area.
