Reno Murder Rate Hits 32 Year Low

The annual report from Reno Police says last year the city had its lowest murder rate in 32 years. There were 15 murders each in 2015 and 2015, that dropped to nine last year. Reno has averaged 11.9 murders per year since 1985. The worst year for murders was 2006 when there were 23, although…MORE

The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and the Bureau of Land Management are fighting a wildfire burning between Wadsworth and Nixon, three miles north of I-80.
