Bear Killed After Being Hit by a Car South of Sand Harbor

NDOW had to put down a badly injured bear, hit by an unknown vehicle Wednesday morning. The bear was found on Highway 28 in the Memorial Point area, south of Sand Harbor. The bear was breathing but unable to move. Washoe County investigators are trying to find the vehicle involved in this crash.MORE

Man Arrested For Sex Assault at Sparks Marina

A man arrested by Sparks police is accused of sexual assault. Police say the alleged assault happened at 4:33 a.m. Monday near the 300 block of Howard Drive, at the Sparks Marina.
