Bill That Would Allow Victims to Break a Rental Lease Passes Unanimously

The State Senate passed a bill allowing victims of sexual assault, stalking or harassment to break their rental leases. AB- 247 prohibits a landlord from penalizing victims for breaking a lease if they have police reports or documents to prove it.
