New Jersey Rape Suspect Arrested in Winnemucca

(KOH) – The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Wednesday who was wanted for sexual assault in New Jersey. 53-year-old Patrick Duffy was also arrested on possession of stolen property. Reno Man Convicted in Machete Attack on Roommate

A Reno man has been found guilty of trying to kill another man with a machete. 45-year-old Celestin Tappin was convicted of using a machete to hack his roommate multiple times during a December 2016 argument in their Reno home. California Wants More Influential Primary

Lawmakers in both chambers of the Legislature are moving forward with efforts to move up California’s June presidential primary elections. The State Senate passed a bill to move the primary to the third Tuesday in March. The state Assembly voted to move the primary to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in March.MORE

Accused South Tahoe Embezzler Turns Himself In

The president of South Lake Tahoe’s Pop Warner Football program has turned himself in. Police issued a warrant for 25 year old Christopher Klug, he’s accused of embezzling from the program. Klug was appointed to lead the program earlier this year. Investigators say he’d been dodging them since the investigation into the thefts started.MORE
