Nevada has its first ever African-American assembly speaker. He is Jason Frierson, a democrat from District 8 in Las Vegas. Well Owners Hold Demonstration

People who own wells demonstrated before the Nevada Legislature convened, to protest proposed measures to regulate domestic wells that will be considered during the session. Fernley Man Sentenced After Chase

A Fernley man has been sentenced to at least 56 months in prison, after leading deputies on a chase, then tried to ram them with his car. 39-year-old Jeremy Random was sentenced for “Eluding,” Assault on a Police Officer with a Deadly Weapon, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Pedestrian Injured in Downtown Crash

Reno Police Department responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on West 4th street. Police say it happened just before 2:30 this morning in front of the Gold Dust West Casino. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Alcohol does not seem to be a factor.MORE

Two Killed in DUI Crash

Sparks Police have confirmed that two people were killed in a suspected drunk driving crash early Sunday morning. Group Gathers to Protest Trump Nominee

A group called “Indivisible Reno” gathered in downtown Reno Sunday to protest President Trump’s pick to run the Department of Education. Richard West the 2nd, has made a plea deal, that will drop most of the charges against him, in connection with an illegal prescription drug distribution ring.
