Terry Moran, who was fired by ABC News after calling White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller “a world-class hater” on social media, defended his decision in a podcast appearance this week.

“It was something that was in my heart and mind. And I would say I used very strong language deliberately,” Moran said on “The Bulwark.” “You see [Miller] all the time doing the same, spitting venom and lies into our debate, degrading our public discourse, debasing it and using the power of the White House and what he’s been given.”

Moran said he looked at the post he made and said, “That’s true. And I hit send.”
